I had NTSC Wii @ 3.4 and I followed larry's tutorial to softmod it and updated it to 4.0 and finally to 4.1

I am able to play various backup games including Mario Bros, Mario Kart, Mario Galaxy.

But I having trouble playing Excite Truck, Super Smashing Bros & Ultimate I Spy does not work. All the above games load up fine and asked to save the file and went for few initial screens and then it says loaing ...loading...loading and then message appears and disk can not read please refer to the wii operation manual.

Please help.

The only time I have seen this is if the media you are using is not compatible (cheap media) try using Sony DVD's and it should not happen. JMO

My first thought as well. I've encountered a few wii's that are extremely picky about what brands of DVD's they'll read. I've always had good luck with verbatum disks though. Remember to burn at 4x as well for best results.

Old dvd drives give more bad burns as well, but even when you do everything right, an occasional disk can and will fail to work.

I have used sony -R dvd's and burn speed was 4x using Imageburn. My DVD burner is brand new. I have successfully burned so many games using same burner/media.

As I mentioned already that it goes through initial couple of screens fine and then I at starts saying loading.....loading.....loading.......disk can not be read....bla bla...bla...

I get the same message on an un-modded Wii with an original disc,i dunno what to do,any idea's anyone.At 1st the game played great then when my son went to play it again it kept coming up with the error.I know the disc is clean infact it looks like brand new.any help appreciated
