freesat on a sky dish

Im a noob in this subject so bear with me please,
basically i have sky in my living room and would like freesat for my bedroom due to the recent digital swithover. My Sky dish only has one connection on its LNB do i need to change that to have both?

Yes you need a dual or quad LNB and then a freesat box.

It's the holder for the LNB that slips into a standard sky dish arm. You won't need one if you buy an LNB that mentions it's for a sky dish as they are designed to just slip into the arm same as the original one.

as mooley said a dual lnb or a quad is needed(a dual has 2 outputs for 2 boxes)and a quad has 4 outputs for 4 boxes. if you have a ladder and dont mind heights you could fit it your self in a few minutes(you will need to buy cable and of course a free to air reciever)you could buy a second hand sky box and you would have the onscreen tv guide and the red button function as they are free also.
