good artical Rich but I'm not as optimistic as you about Vevo. I checked it out and definately it is a waste of time for me. I don't like commercial TV so this is way over the top. Thumbs down here!
This seems to be more or less the same type of thing as hulu, but even less effective. The video playback seems somewhat glitchy, and the server seems to have loads of bandwidth issues. Couple these with the fact that the search ability is atrocious, and you have a somewhat aggravating experience.
I decided to try four random artists... linkin park, collide, lacuna coil, and celldweller. Collide and celldweller returned no results. At all. Lacuna Coil gave me a travis tritt video(wtf?) and linkin park gave me a bunch of rap videos.
