Due to some little malware-sending twot and my passive antivirus 'protection' I got a killer virus on my PC and so had to wipe it clean. So I have lost 7zip, the tool I used to unRAR all my isos without any problems. I cant get 7zip now, they want money. Does anyone know of a good free unrar tool, I have tried RARzilla but upon trying to unrar GTA Episodes it takes an age and then fails to unrar.

Im blaming rarzilla but heres some details just in case you respond that rarzilla is ok;
Previously every game I unrar was stored on the hard drive. However as I lost everything I am dragging isos off my NTSF external hard drive onto the pc and trying to unrar. Could this be contributing to the unrar problem or should it unrar as normal?
Ill be fuming if I've lost GTA episodes

Use the great-great-granddaddy or all un-rar tools --------------------------------------------------------------> WinRAR!!!

With WinRAR you can un-rar from any location to another location. No need to drag the ISO from here to there.

Try this: -

http://peazip.sourceforge.net/

It's free and supports 98 different archive types.

Now I can unrar I need to know which rar file to unzip. Usually there is only 1 rar file in the games I download, but this one reads like this;
31 Rar files
38 R30-R67 files

Which do I unrar? Usually it is around 70 R1-R70 files and one big rar file which contains the iso and .dvd

You can open any of the RAR files and extract the .ISO and .DVD files. Double click the first RAR file (name.part01.rar) or whatever it is and winrar will open up and let you extract the files.

Or just right-click and extract.

Yes I know the functions of right clicking and extracting etc. What I am asking is where is the .iso file located? I have 70 rar files all the same size. I have unRAR'ed the first file and it hasn't produced an .iso file like it should do. I have a .dvd file, but I need the iso so that I can patch it to wave 3. Anyone know where the .iso is located in GTA Episodes? I have 2 different versions downloaded and cant find the .iso in either. One version is divided into 4 parts and I cannot find the .iso in any of the 4 parts. The only item I can see to be similar to the iso is a 7,654,976KB file but it it doesnt say .iso. The details tab tells me it is a WinRAR archive. I have unRAR'ed this and got Audio TS and Video TS (so it looks like the iso) but the word iso is nowhere- for every other game I have been able to find an iso and they all burned succesfully.

Double-click one of the RAR files so WinRAR (or whatever you're using) opens, then post a screenshot.

(Assuming it is downloaded from the internet) open the game folder (for example I'll call it Halo3).
Before modifying a file with a rar tool make sure you make a backup copy of the file.
You should have around 70 RAR files. If you go to views, select "details" so it shows all of the RAR items properties such as size, file type etc. If you look at the size column scroll down to the largest rar file. Usually you will have 70 or so rar files of identical size. Then there should be a much larger rar file (or as I have discovered with Modern Warfare 2, the iso and dvd are in a smaller RAR file which is uncommon) So just look for a rar file that is unique in size. This will contain the iso and .dvd files. Right click on this large file and unRAR it by pressing "extract here". This should give you the iso and dvd which you can then put into imgburn.

If you dont get a .dvd file then just create one, there are youtube tutorials on how to do this, very easy to do, takes about 30 seconds in notepad.
Also, winRAR may only extract a .dvd file and no iso. If this is the case just put the .dvd file into imgburn and imgburn should be able to put the pieces together and build the game (worked for me on GTA episodes).
