I was using a 2gb jump drive through configurable usbloader (v1.5...i think). I got a WD Passport 320, (as i read they were compatible). Formatted the hard drive in WBFS manager and added a game. (game shows up in WFBS on the drive). Now when I start the cofig. usb loader, it freezes at the main screen. I switched the jump drive back and it worked fine again. Whay am I having problems with the hard drive. Should i use a different loader, i like the GUI the Config. usb loader has, what's the "best" usb loader anyways? thanks
UPDATE: tried again and it loaded past the main screen, but timed out looking for the drive. Why is the hard drive not being detected? yes, it is in the correct USB port.
Thanks, I'll do that. I think I might've found out what the problem is tho...I got the drive off ebay, when i took it back to the computer to try to do what you had said, the device was "unknown device" and not recognized. i googled to find out why....apparently there is a bad connection in the cord, and if u hold it just right it will link up. so...gonna send back the drive and try again. Thanks, I'll let u know how it goes next time.
If the problem is just in the cord you should be able to pick up another one for 2-3 bucks. Might be cheaper to try that before sending the whole drive back.
