hey i am getting a mod chip and i heard you can download an emulator to your xbox? i can also save games just instead of saving a rom to the HDD can i burn it onto a disc will it still work???

the other thing was wondering was if i download an emulator to my xbox and download a rom to a disc will the rom work???
or do i have to just download the rom to my HDD and if i could write it to a disc and it would work would it have to be a DVD disc???

I think we are having a little problem deciphering you. When you say "emulator" what do you mean? Do you mean an emulator for Mame, N64, Neo Geo etc or are you saying something else? Also, when you say roms are you referring to Xbox games or the roms for these emulators. If you are getting an Xbox and you want to mod it you can take a look at DJBoogie post in connecting to my Xbox which should still be on this page and it tells you early on what you need. Or use the link that Scottas has been so kind to give you.

what i meant was downloading an xbox emulator to your xbox i understand that you download the roms to your xbox to play them... wat i am asking is if you have the emulator on there can you play roms through a like dvd disc...

an emulator is what it says, it emulates another system or format , for example a MAME emulaotr (multi arcade machine emulator) plays arcade mame ROMS, n64 emulaotr emulates (plays) n64 games, and plays them on your xbox
if you say an xbox emulator it dont make much sense, cos that means you wantto emulate an xbox,,,,,,,on your xbox

yeh that's what i am meaning because to play xbox roms you need to download a xbox emulator to your xbox? or do roms just play if you have a mod-chip?? because there is no xbox emulator that works on PC but it works on the xbox itself...
