I have a modded and unbanned Xbox, and I am looking to play via system link with my other roommates. Is there a way to letmy 360 onto my router but not on Live (which will ban me)? I use the same ethernet cable for my computer and my unmodded xbox, so I'd rather not have to go into the router to block ports, since it would block the ports that I want open for my other Xbox. I just want to be able to be sure that this box never touches the internet. Is this even possible without having to use a separate router without an internet connection hooked up to it?

I have the same setup, I just unplug the router from my DSL line to stop any internet access. Although there should be a way to do this in your routers setup interface.

If all else fails, I will do this. I was just hoping there would be a way to set it up so I wouldn't have to unplug it, since other people in the house use the internet on their computers. I don't want to take the internet away from everyone just so I can system link.

yea just go into your router's configuration page, most routers have options to disable certain mac or ip addresses from accessing the intertubes

i dunno how to edit here (newbie status?) so sorry my double post. If your router doesnt give you the option to disable macs then you could see if there's a ddwrt firmware for it. ddwrt does all sorts of stuff and definitely has an option to disable certain macs from going online

I'm running on the Verizon FiOS router, and I don't think they give you the option to update firmware to anything but their own firmware. I was really hoping there was a way to go into the Xbox's settings and change this. If I change the mac address for anything on the router, it will affect my unmodded box that I want to go online with, since I am using the same connection/ethernet cord.
