BenQ replacement drive, HELP.

I'll try to keep this short for the sake of the people reading.

Bricked a hitachi drive, but kept the original key so whole XBOX was

not shot. Bought a Benq as a replacement. Does the BenQ come with its

own firmware that works(plug and play?). 2nd problem, I spoofed the

Benq to look like a hitachi(changing hitachi and benq keys).

We used a bootable USB drive(DOSFLASH method)(Magic 28). Tray

wouldn't eject, kept saying opening and closing but nothing happened.

Brought it back to the computer, hooked it up, and it was actually

ejecting when button was pressed(even though it wasn't when plugged

into a TV???)

We then flashed it with iExtreme 1.61 BenQ firmware with Hitachi Key.

Plugged into a TV, this time no display at all, no ejecting from

tray, but DVD drive was clearly running(sound).


Plugged it back into the computer to try to flash it with Hitachi

firmware and it will no longer read and says "No ATAPI device

present!". How can it go from not ejecting, to ejecting, then to not showing any display, and then to not even able to read or do anything to? Sorry for the long post, but I'm all out of ideas! Please Help!
