I have some customers interested in some extra internal cooling for their 360s. I've know about the whisper fans, but they seem a bit expensive for what my clients want, as it seems your paying a premium for the novelty colors and such, and these customers don't care for any of that.
Do any of you work in this area and have recommendations for where to get such devices at a reasonable price? What method and models might you recommend?

I meant in the area of installing extra cooling, vs flashing and various other areas. I could see where you'd think I meant location though.

IMO nothing beats homemade, i have been making these cooling fans for friends and family for about a year now works great and doesnt void your warranty if you care about that.

the other fans dont void it either and dont look bad sitting outside of the case doing minimal effect. do a 12v fan mod or get the xcm core cooler

If your referring to the store bought inter-coolers yes they don't do a damn thing but my fan mod does its not uncommon for me to play for an hour and check how hot the air is coming out of the back of the 360, and it being slightly warm granted it is normally freezing in my house but non the less.
also in the year i have had these fans on my 360 not once has the stock fans gone into 12v mode cause its always so cool.
oh and also this console is a rrod i picked up from a friend heat gunned it and added the fans still going strong.

I have the talismoon fans and they work good. I did that along with the xclamp fix and no problems. I'm thinking of doing the two fans in the picture from ryoshin66 but on both sides. I don't have a hdd for my banned console, just a memory card so it would be posible. ryoshin, how do you hook up those fans? Are they soldered or plugged into a usb port?

You can either power the fans up with a 12v adapter (which is what i use) and have an on/off switch or wire them to the power of the 360 it self but i wouldnt go that route unless you know what your doing.

i did the talismoon fans with the fan metal mesh cut out and uh i also have the nyko ex intercooler its the second version of the coolers and it actually works extremely well fixed alot of issues with the original nyko intercoolers which seems to have chased alot of ppl away from the brand

A fan on the bottom would do more blowing air into the console, then an intercooler on the back to remove it.

One thing you can always do is take the case off and replace one of the panels with a piece of plexiglass. Then drill some holes in the plexiglass to let air out. Put a fan blowing air into one end and out another end.
