If LT ever gets released, will you have to solder the newer consoles still? I'm not understanding why people have to solder the newer 83850-v2 and 93450 drives. Sorry, I can't seem to find the exact answers on these forums, and I don't plan on spending hours looking for it. Thanks to anyone who responds in a positive manner. =]

A new firmware won't change the methods used to extract the drive key, you'll still have to solder to mod the newer drives.
