I just installed a D2Pro9 (d2prov4c9a)from Canada Mods and it red lights right away. The dvd drive makes a noise that is hard to explain, kind of start and stops. I put a game in and it was taking it in like an inch at a time(in stop, in stop etc...).
The Wii Clip says V4C-9A. I checked the chip set says GC2-D2B so I think I got the right chip.

What can I do to fix this?

Info from CMods

Product: 100% Solderless D2PRO 9 + Triwing Security & Phillips Screwdrivers ( for d2a - d2e chipsets)
Options: Wii Chipset - B. D2A / D2B / DMS
Quantity: 1
Product Code: d2prov4c9a

Thanks in advance for any help

Make sure you only have +3.3 ground G, H and J connected. Any other could cause issues with a D2B chipset.

Below is an image of what the D2Pro and WiiClip should look like. The only soldering joints that should be made between the WiiClip and D2Pro are Blue.

If there is any solder connecting the 5 6 7 8 9 c d e or f points then you need to unsolder those points. There should only be 5 points that the WiiClip is soldered to the D2Pro.

All I can say is make sure you have the WiiClip on properly.

I don't even know why users buy modchips anymore. Softmods have allot more homebrew capabilities then Modchips.

I thought it would be easier for the person I was doing it for(the chip). Do you think its better to do the soft mod? I know you have a great tut for it. Maybe I'll go that way
