I am wanting to buy a used 360, but iXtreme on it, and JTAG it. My last 360 got banned when the Ban Wave went by. I am just wondering if it would be better to find a nice used one on eBay, even a RROD 360 and fix it... Or get one at GameStop. The reason I say GameStop, is their warranty. What type of warranty to you get on a used 360? Also, if it RROD's, are you still able to send it into M$ and get the free repair?
Of course, if I JTAG it, I can't send it to M$, so does GameStop have any return policy?
Just looking for the best road to take. Keeping one 360 for online, and one to mod the hell out of.

i personally would go with ebay because you could ask the seller to give you all the info you need to find out if it is exploitable before purchase

RROD doesn't mean its JTAG exploitable, or am I missing something here ?

Correct. But maybe what he's getting at is that a lot of RRoD console owners have purchased new consoles, leaving their RRoD console sitting unused for a long time (a lot of times, before the homebrew crippling update).

As for the free fix from MS, good luck. Chances are it's out of warranty or it would have already been fixed by the owner/seller. Check the date of manufacture. Warranty is only good for a limited time.

Ebay might be cheaper. but at least with gamestop you have your hands on the console right away and it's easier to return/ exchange it there than by someone on ebay. I can't count the times i've bought "New" consoles that were actually x-clamp fixed, or gutswapped, or even once with all the dvd cables inside the drive cut.
