So i'm a noob (check), and i was messing with Any Region Changer 1.1b (Double Chek that last one), i was performingthe 3.2 downgrade when it reached title 1-2 and it had an error #1026 the region was displayed ".", thats when it hit me, ok i bricked it, when i restarted the led turns green but the display is all black, i have been reading some guides including some GC controllers but im guessing that wont work for me, i am just doomed, righ? BTW it had 4.2E before i started messing arround no modchips just HBC... Is there anyway i can get out of this?

if you didnt back up your nand your wii is as good as trash, only way to fix is save mii / miifrii and use a game cube controller. If you cant do this send it back to nintendo for a 70 dollar replacement cost.

LOL ita

I am 90% sure that the wii won't accept a NAND backup from a different console. But if you want to try it anyway go right ahead. It cant hurt anything.

Sure there are plenty of guides. But they all require you to have a bootmii installed and a NAND backup ready before the console is bricked.

Anyway, I've made NAND backups before in case something went wrong, but never actually used them. I would go to the official bootmii site for help. http://bootmii.org/

It's apparent that Bootmii was installed as an IOS. Without Preloader or Startpatch (applications that place themselves before the SM) there is no way you'll get to RestoreMii even if a NAND backup was performed. I hate to say it, but this is a lost cause. For future reference, do not downgrade if you are on firmware 4.2 as it can now be easily exploited.

They'll service the console, even if you messed it by by mucking with the firmware.

Most likely though they'll replace the entire motherboard. So dont expect to keep any of your savegames or installed channels.

Depends if it's still under warranty.

When I broke my wii by mucking with the firmware I was long out of warranty, and I think it was $70 to get it fixed, plus shipping.

If you call the customer service line and talk to someone they'll tell you how much it will cost.

They didn't even ask me what happened to mine, though that might be because it was out of warranty.

And power surges and outages should be covered, but on the off-chance that they aren't I would just say that it won't turn on and leave it at that. Don't say what might have happened, just that you aren't getting any output from it.

You should also do a little more research before messing with stuff. If this was a new Wii then you shouldn't be trying to downgrade to 3.2 firmware. With newer Wii models there are limits to what you can do. So make sure you do a little research before attempting this stuff again.
