Simplest Way to upgrade to LARGER HDD on my Soft Modded XBOX

Guys, forgive me if this is a stupid question....


I have my Xbox softmodded with Unleash X and it runs great but my DVD drive is starting to get wierd on me so I was thinking about simply upgrading my HD to a larger 300GB drive and simply install all my favorite games that I play over and over on it.

Is that the best way to go?.....if so, what's the easiest way to upgrade my xbox to the larger HDD?

Can I simply clone my existing HD with a larger drive and get to utilize the extra space?

Is there a way to simply add a 2nd HDD that I can store my games on?

Whats the best and EASIEST process to do this so I dont have to jump thru alot of steps?....I do have alot of apps installed on my HDD. Are any of them useful for adding another HDD?

Or is there another way like an external drive or something?
