WII HOMEBREW HELP PLEASE

Hi all

i have some issues with my wii console.
i have a wii moded from jap ver 3.2j Does this require updating to a higher version.

i have installed homebrew and i have problems playing some games from my wd usb hard drive.
i have wiiflow on and some games play but some have a black or green screen mainly im a celeb , just dance, snowboarding.

can someone help me to tell me what i am doing wrong ai am a novice here thank you

Yes, you almost certainly need to update the console to play most games.

And did you install everything you need for the USB loader to run or did you just install homebrew channel? Because you need to install several IOS patches.

penguin 98 thanks for quick reply.
first i was a bit worried as i have a jap wii that i would not update the same way as a uk version.
i have a few programs installed
re

preloader tucha bug restorer uloader wad manager etc.

the only thing i am not sure on is what ios patches i have on and how to find them on my console and where to download them from.
my wii is not on the con to web

It sounds like you found a softmod pack that either didn't include instructions or you didn't follow all the instructions.

This is the only softmod guide I know of that will let you update and complete the guide without an internet connection.

If you can get the wii connected to the net though (And it doesn't matter that you have a japanese wii, just go online with it and it will DL the correct firmware) then you can follow this guide to softmod.

Whichever guide you follow, once you complete it read this guide to get going on a USB drive.
