Removing a Wiikey

Hello ive been having trouble with my wiikay and i have softmodded the system but i still get the #001 error i was wondering if i can just remove my wiikey by cutting all the wires as none of the solders brige any connections. Thanks

I went ahead and did this anyway, and just taped up the loose wire so they didnt accidently touch any thing they werent meant too, and it now works perfectly managing to play back-up games too having trouble with a few like but if i knew it was this easy to remove my wiikey i would have done it 6months ago
Thought i would let people know encase anyones thinking of doing the same for me it was as easy as cutting the wires.
