Hi,
Once you have a Wii V4.2 Softmoded (Following the guide of this forum) Should you turn OFF WiiConnect24? or can you leave it ON?
Can WiiConnect24 upgrade the Wii firmware without asking me first?
PS: You have the best Wii guides of all here! Keep the good work!

Thanks geolan!
The Heat problem is something else, u can have 24connect ON, but "Standby" must be OFF. This way it won't heat up :-)
Anybody could confirm that? (Wii will not update itself via 24Connect)

Read the Wiiconnect agreement. It explicitly mentions that they have the ability to update your wii without asking you. They chnaged thie agreement as of FW 3.3 I think. ---Chikn

They reserve the right to but they never have updated automatically. I doubt they ever will.

Sheesh, as an AD addict I would think you would've seen it all, lol! It's a funny little thing I do after my posts, sort of like a sig. "ChiknLitl" becomes shorthand "---Chikn". ---Chikn
