Help with GCMODS please

Hey guys im new to this forum so thought i would say hi :)
I have sent my xbox into GCMODS 1 week ago today as it needs a New Laser because of the open tray error, i also asked for my xbox to be Flashed.
I have had a few replies saying that my xbox should arrive rather 27th/28th of this month due to christmas. I have emailed GCMODS for the last 2 days without 1 reply, is this because of christmas etc or is it a scam :( i hope not.
On my order status it still says Courier booked even though it was picked up last Monday, however they might not have updated it i guess.
Please reply on what i should do.

Other people in the past have used them according to this post, so I assume you should get it back soon, but that's really expensive to flash an xbox considering how easy it is to do... >.<
I was gonna get somebody else to flash my console last year, but found out that I had a hitachi drive and was able to flash it with just a VIA card which cost me £10! ^o^

Its only a day late, chill out leave it a coupla days before you panic, heck the guy who does my stuff disappears for weeks without any word!!

Never heard of them. Why didn't you just have someone do it local? Modding is illegal, so sending it somewhere to be modded isn't too safe either.

Doesn't mean it's done right. I've done 100's myself. Reflowing is how microsoft repairs them, the proper way. You're probably getting an xclamp fix.

they might be closed til monday 4th for new year, some people are funny about answering emails and phones etc during xmas as they see it as their holiday time, but it sucks that they lack this much communication with their customers especially during an economic downturn.

Have you heard from them yet? I'm haveing the same problem, sent mine on the 21st decemeber. I've used them before though with no problems so should all be good this time aswell. Just takeing a very long time.

I'm thinking he has just gone on holiday or something or is just takeing time off but I dunno. Going to give it maybe 2 or 3 more weeks and then I'm going up to warrington to get mind back if I still havent heard anything.

It really is stupid that its been 3 weeks and hes not replied to any emails anyone has sent him. He's had time to change his website and take down the christmas offer so he could of done something then.

No neither would I. There was another one that does repairs aswell that i emailed but he took a while to email me back so i sent it to gcmods and got the reply from the other one a few hours after it was picked. Someone from another forum haveing the same problem has got in contact with tradeing standards so we will have to see what happens with that. Ive sent him another email now telling him to either repair it or refund my money and send it back.
