USB Forwarder Error

I installed the USB Loader as a channel on my Wii but when I try to run/open the channel I get the following error: Error: Couldn't Open File!

Wii firmware is 4.2.

Any ideas?

If the usb loader runs properly when started from the homebrew channel but not the forwarder channel then the forwarder is probably looking for it in the wrong place. Make sure your usb loader is in apps/usbloader as that is where most forwarders look.

Your response implies that I would have to have the SD card in the slot, correct? I am trying to avoid that. I appreciate you responding/helping.

Then you need to install the USB loader itself as a channel. Your thread title says usb forwarder. The forwarder does not contain the loader. It will only find and start the loader from your SD or USB device (only if you have your USB device formatted FAT32)

This is what is called a hybrid channel. It will first try to load from the SD, then if it cant find that will boot a self-contained USB loader. The version it contains is somewhat out of date, but it is the most recent version I can find. It is v48 and CFG USB loader is on v50 now.

The CFG USB Loader guide in my sig usses a forwarder that loads from the USB Device (CFG v50). If you follow it everything should work and you can then take out the SD card.
