My son put in a email that was wrong for the family settings for online games chat and so on. We have done the left trigger right trigger and that it will rest the game settings but still ask for the eamil and password to change the family settings.

try a factory reset on the console. or figure out what the wrong email is.

You cannot reset system settings when family settings are set, you are locked out.

I have fixed this many times with this method:

Update, After many calls and emails to windows live and to xbox live there is no fix for this problem. So what ever you do, do not make a typo on your xbox family setting. That's what happen we typed in .com when it should have been .net. we can make up new windows live ID's but you will not be able to transfer your game tag or your gold account with out having the password for family settings.
