Gamecube originals not working properly in softmodded 4.2u wii

just as the topic states. I put in the original and it may or may not boot. I get a red screen that says to clean the disc or contact Nintendo. I have Mario Double Dash and I played through an entire grand prix circuit and then at the next loading screen it says to contact Nintendo or clean the disc.

I can eject the disc then reload it it and it will take off from where it left off. This seems strange that reloading it would cause it to continue. Any ideas as to what i should do. Thanks in advance.

I forgot to mention that the wii has less than 10 hours play on it, and most of that has been through USB Loader GX.

I doubt it has anything to do with the softmod.

Sounds like the laser may need an adjustment if it stops playing and then you can eject it and put it back in and start where you left off.

Well like I said the Wii Drive is brand new and has had hardly any play time on it. I guess I could play a different game and see if it changes. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the reply.
