Action Replay and M3?

Super Noob here, maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

I have the M3 and seems to be working fine. My 8 year old "really" wants some Pokemon Platinum cheats. Now on other games on the M3, I see there are cheats available, but none on Pokemon Platinum. So, my questions are; 1. Are there a way to ADD cheat codes for this game, and OR, can I get Action Replay to work with my M3? (From what I've been reading, I dont need the Action Replay as I should be able to install the codes right to the M3).

So anyway, I went to the Cheat.db and see "codes" listed for Pokemon Platinum, but when the M3 starts, and I select cheats for PP, I am told there "are no cheats availble for this game".

Any suggestions?

1) update the firmware for the M3 real, work has been done to improve code compatibility.

2)Add the latest cheat.db - narins is a good one, regularly updated
