I had a ms28 drive that stopped working, so i bought a ms28 drive on ebay and recieved a ms25 drive.
I replaced the pcb of the ms25 with my ms28 pcb and it worked,
My question is do i still need the via chipset to flash this drive ???

just use jungleflasher and try any sata port you have.

You will need a VIA chipset to Flash a Samsung drive.
