My bro in law got a LU72 for xmas w/ 4.1.

what are the advantages of upgrading to 4.2?

is the soft modding any different when you go to 4.2?

I plan on using a USB loader w/ an ext HDD... will We be missing anything if I chose 4.1 or 4.2

I got a brand new wii as well for xmas, updated it to 4.2U serial LU725XXXXX, softmoded with the 4.2 guide here and the CFG USB loader guide and am playing Call of Duty MW and Super Mario off my USB HDD no problems so you should be good if you want to update it.
The only change I made was not to install Neogamma because I'm using the CFG USB loader and installed cIOS38 rev16 instead of rev14.
I read that Super Mario wont play if your not at 4.2 anyway.
