Well banned again guys for having a sig that said I reflowed. Seriously mods, I was behaving and now you've drawn the line. I will no longer be a part of this JOKE. All I do is help everyone in my free time and I get banned for stupid crap. All the mods are aware that I offer reflow services. All my sig said was that I reflow. Didn't know what was against the rules? All it said was to PM me. Just ban me for good!

It's because they want you to pay for advertising rather than in your sig and every post where people have done the x-clamp fix and still have the RRoD

I know. This site has bored me anyway. I am overwhelmed with the amount of repairs right now any way. There are some good guys here, but the moderators "ddp" take it too far. Bunch of crap. Ban me go ahead. You will not see anymore help from me. I am no noob.

It seems like alot of the old timers aren't popping in as much as they use to. I guess guys just get burnt out answering the same questions over and over. I've been here since August 2003 and I don't post as much as I use to.

Which is why these guys can't keep good guys. I've even seen homesick post threads that he wanted banned. The noobs overrun this place the the MODs that run it think they need to ban everyone for anything. If this were my site I would have been like "Hey gameover9" could you please remove that from you sig? More than welcome, I would have. Instead they ban me instantly. Freaking joke if you ask me. Who wants to help people when I get crap like that?

well yea but wasnt that what your last ban was from? So you gotta figure if you come back advertising without paying for it they're going to ban you again. It's also in the sticky at the top of the forum. And it wasnt just in your sig either, every time I would tell people they need a reflow if x-clamp didnt work the next post would be you saying "pm me for pricing"...like "pm for pricing" is any better or any less against what the mods want

No last ban was for name calling. The thing I said was PM me if interested. What's the hurt in that? Not one time was I told not to do that. They can tell people up front. Not to sound cocky, but I have more knowledge about this crap than almost everyone on this site. There are some good ones that do know, but I carrry the knowlege from repairs, soldering, modding, etc. I'm always answering questions non-stop as well.

As I see it, someone else has to answer the often posed question of "Where Can i get my 360 reflowed" with the answer of "gameover9" and they'd have to PM you theirselves in order for you to not be banned.
I think it's kinda dumb, you should be able to say "hey, I reflow 360's, pm me for more info" and let the other person decide to use you or not. Not like you'd be advertising.
I wish a real MOD would come in here and explain to me how come that can't happen here when you can say anything in the world pertaining to 360 piracy.. ahem... backed-up games.. and not get a warning. It's not common sense.
I understand that the staff wouldn't want this site run over by people constantly refreshing the page to see if someone needs a job done or not but damn.
I've been here a long time as well. I've never been banned yet, and to be honest with you, I'm surprised.

Hey gam(e)over, I feel your pain. It's kind of weak that senior members and addicts who help people out on a regular basis, can't reference their "side business" without a penalty. Truth is, that we, (more-so you than me), but "we" as advisers (all included), to the people who come here looking for answers, get more (much more) successful solutions to their problems from addicts and seniors than any other source on this (and any other) forum.
I understand the forum's standpoint also. To make a buck (that's the whole point). But what's the harm in allowing seniors and especially addicts (who've been helpful regularly), link something small-scale in his/her signature (maybe one service). After all, when they help "others", those "others" recommend to more "others" who visit here for help. And isn't traffic what all it's about?
In other words, those helpful addicts and seniors have already "paid".

I figure when my reflow setup finally arrives i'll take a pic and post it in my sig and name it something odd. That way i don't break the rules and people still know i do reflows.
Can they ban you for technically not breaking the rules? We'll find out. I know i've linked ebay listings when i'm selling something and the post was closed but i haven't ever been banned. What they should do is assign different people to different sections, then we wouldn't have these problems. I think if it was up to creaky he would have asked you to remove it from your sig, other mods just aren't that nice though because they don't know you.
Back when i was a mod on 2gnt i pretty much watched the turbo/nitrous sections of the forum. I knew most of the main guys and when they would do something that wasn't appropriate i would give them a warning or take away points (that point system is completely flawed though). The only people i banned was the spammers and the idiots that would always cause trouble. After all the bs i just quit because it was the same thing over and over and it wasn't fun anymore. I figure the same thing will happen with this place eventually. I haven't been on this forum that much lately, yahoo answers is a little bit more fun and rewarding than this place.
Anyway hopefully you decide to come back, i think you've earned your spot here and we don't want to take the time to find someone to replace you.

It was me. How many times do people need to be told that this site isn't like a phone box where you put up little cards advertising their own services. This goes for everyone and always has.

Then of course we have the forum rules, then there's this ~ http://www.afterdawn.com/general/adprices.cfm, then there's the fact that back in August he was suspended for advertising his reflow services.
