wii loader is being stupid

I followed the guide on here for the 4.1 and below softmod guide. The problem is that the usb loader when loading a game(Madden 08), it kicks the controller out and wont let it connect back to the system. I played twilight princess and that let me do it fine. Only some crackling noise in the beginning, I am assuming its just the game because it does it when i play on the disc too. Another problem I have is that it sometimes shows this image when trying to install a game throught the wii dvd drive onto the usb hdd.


If anyone can help me that would be great.........by the way i have a lu65 wii on 4.0U firmware
