First I want to thank everyone here who's post I have read as well as anyone who answers this =]
First I have a samsung drive in my xbox. It is flashed and I've played backup games on it as well. What I would like to do is rip or backup the game from the xbox. While searching I found a post that said it needs to be in vendor mode, which it is. I've opened xbc as well as schtrom and neither will see the drive. All the tutorials I have found have been for the external dvd drive with modded firmware(which at this point I'm not willing to buy) and none for actually using the xbox to backup the game. Any help would be great thanks.

I'm assuming the only thing you're missing is a proper device to connect your drive to your PC.

You need a VIA sata card like one of these.

What I have should work as I used it to flash the xbox to begin with. And jungleflasher sees the drive as that is how I put it in vendor mode. It just doesn't show up in windows explorer or any of the backup programs

Wanted to bump this, as well as ask another question. I read the tutorial on how to backup/restore arcade games to the harddrive, my question would be is there anyway to burn the games to a dual layer disk and install to the harddrive? as i have no power connector for the sata drive. just curious please help.
