soft modded wii will not read discs anymore?

So, I successfully softmodded my 4.2U wii.. it worked perfect, I made a whole bunch of games and played them ALL... then, my son came home from a friends and didn't know how to use it and put a burned game in and tried to use the regular disc channel instead of neo gamma.. Someone else with the same softmod hack tried what my son did and said that wasn't it cuz it didn't do anything to his.. anyways, now ever disc i put in says "the game disc could not be read. Please read the Wii operations manual for more information"
so i don't understand what could have changed, it still plays my regular games though. just not the burns anymore.... please help!

I don't know if this will do anything. But a friend of mine update to cIOS38 rev16 and none of the games would load from the NeoGamma backup loader. However when he when back to cIOS38 rev14 everything worked fine.

Did you update your CIOS?
