If I have followed the soft mod guide, should I be able to burn iso games to a DVD-R to play on my Wii?

Nothing else is needed to be done? Are these steps correct?

1. Burn ISO file to DVD-R

2. Put the burned disc is my Wii?

What should I do next?

What burning program is best to use?

Yes. Just burn the ISO onto a DVD-R. Launch it via Neogamma or a similar backup launcher. For your burning projects use ImgBurn, a freeware.

Thanks for all your help. One last question. What is the best place online to find the games I want? I am trying to find Family Feud 2010 Edition USA Wii and every torrent I find is slow or never starts.

Ok, I burned a DVD-R of a ISO put it in my Wii and started via Neogamma only to get a black screen and same when I tried to load it with out the disc in the drive. What am I doing wrong. Then when I went in to my WAD Manager it locked up to where I had to power down the Wii. Followed all the steps and still no luck

It seems to me that something went wrong along the process.
1. Did you install cIOS38? To successfully run backup games you need this. It is linked to IOS249.
2. You may not have the Trucha Bug present in your system. The Trucha Bug is needed to be able to install WADs.
Which guide did you follow?

You should avoid memosux media.

Did you follow the DOP-IOS part of the 4.2 guide?

Usually black screen means you need to update an IOS or install one. Following the DOP-IOS part should update and install most game IOS's.

I thought I had followed everything completely. I cleaned out my previous softmod attempt and will follow everything again.

What DVD-R media is best to use? Is it easier for me to buy a USB hard drive and add ISO's to that and run them from there? If a USB Hard drive is easier what would you recommend and what softwware would I need?

Did I say to install everything again. IO just asked if you did the DOP-IOS part of the guide. If you didn't do it then just follow that section.

Verbatim or Tayio Yuden (Not Valu-Line) DVD-R media is best.

As for a USB HDD Device go to the USB Loader guide I have linked in the guide and look at the USB Device compatibility list.

Because Valu-line is not consistent. That is why they are called value-line.
