Region code change XBOX 360 game iso file?

Ok, here it is 2010, there must be a way to change the region code of a game, right? I downloaded a game that said ntsc, but when I played it the console said wrong region code. I wonder if patching had something to do with it?

I believe that with the JTAG hack it is possible, but I'm not sure if anyone is actually doing it yet.
I think that how to change the region code of your console itself is being done, though.
Somebody please feel free to correct me on anything I got wrong.

I had researched and done it with xextool. It patches up the default.xex file and removed the region limit. You can use xextool to remove any limitation on game. It is a DoS based program but have the samples for easy use.

Qwert99- is there a way you can convert the game files back into iso so I can burn it on DVD? so I need the reverse of what Xbox image Browser can do. this way I might be able to play it on a non jtag but flashed xbox.

Sorry, I am not sure.
ImgBurn [i]will[/b] allow you to turn files/folders into an ISO file. So, technically, you could just drag the 360 game's folder and create an ISO from them that way.
However, I have never actually tried to do this myself, so I am not absolutely sure if it would play in a 360. This is especially true if you have modified the game by deleting the update folder, etc.
Patching the video partition of the game does work, though, so maybe this will, too. I'd give it a shot. Just be warned that you are probably begging to be banned by doing this, if you haven't been banned already.
This is the exact reason I am looking forward to the 360 being able to load full-on ISO files via homebrew. That way there is no juggling of image files. I've already got 800 GB of them, I don't want to use any more space than I already do, just to make copies of the same games :)

Wow, thanks to all that have responded, no, I am not banned, I am very careful with my backup games, I download for my kids and I have gotten a few that are not coded for the USA, so I ruined a few DVD-DL discs. I do check them now before burning, so I do not waist media, but after waiting a few days for the download it is a bummer to realize it is not our region code. I will try the tricks you all recommended.
