Hello All,

I just got my first Wii for christmas from my wife and if I break it I will be a dead man so I need to make sure I am doing everything right the first time.

What I would like to do is use a softmod on my system and run all games off a USB harddrive. The issue I am having is there is so much great information on this site I'm not sure which guide/info to use.

Can you please tell me which guides/info I should use to do the following:

1)softmod my wii to run off a USB harddrive
2)how to rip games onto the harddrive
3)how to backup my system incase something goes wrong I can back it up so it like it came out of the box.

Sorry if these are simple questions but the fear of my wife has me being very careful.

Follow the 4.2 firmware softmod guide in my sig.

Then follow the CFG USB Loader guide in my sig.
