make sure you're using DVD-R discs, or if you're using DVD+R or DVD+RW make sure you change the booktype before you burn, otherwise it won't work.

Yes I am allready. How should I load the game/film once I insert the disc? When I go to the disc chanel is says bad disc. I have seen a few demo videos on youtube and the majority of them have another channel they load their games/films through, do you think I need another chanel to do this? If yes can you advise how/where to get it?

Thanks

Was that all you did? Because that's not even half the process. You need to install the proper custom IOS patches, and then you need to boot the game through neogamma (either on homebrew channel or installed as a channel). Follow this guide.

yes that was all i did. Am i right in thinking you have to complete the entire guide top to bottom? I stopped when a line went across the page with the the following text below the line:
IT IS SAFE TO DOWNGRADE IOS15 ON ALL SYSTEMS/SERIALS!

I thought the line meant the process was complete, am I wrong and should I continue to the very bottom of the page?

Thanks

I have no idea why you thought that line meant that the process was complete.

What it is in reference to is the fact that newer wii's can brick if you try to downgrade some IOS's. Some older guides still reccomend downgrading other IOS's and it has caused problems for people. But an IOS15 downgrade is safe for all consoles and is a NECESSARY step for softmodding via that guide.

You need to follow every step until the part that says "EXTRA STEPS: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS BUT I HAVE ADDED THEM IN CASE YOU WANT TO."

Hi penguin98,

I did as you said and am having trouble completing the below step.

'Hermes' IOS 222/223:
Launch the HBC and load the cIOS 222 installer.
Press A at the warning screen.
Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select IOS38 merged with IOS37. '

When performing the above step it says it is downloading from the internet. This is probably stupid on my part but... do I have to conect my wii to the internet? If yes do I do this via the USB slot? I can not see any other slots unless I am missing something.

Thanks

Yes, the wii needs to be online for larry's guide to work. It has built in wifi so no cables are necessary, but you do need to have a wireless router (or at least a neighbor with an unprotected one, lol)

If you can't get the wii online there is another guide that you can try here that will work on an offline wii. It's mostly the same, but already contains all the files that the wii would normally download during the modding process.

Please ignore my last post

I have done alot of research on the error code and i think its to do with my firewall, will ry to resolve the issue tonight and then proceed with the guide.
