I purchased a gold account after noticing that you could download two expansion packs for Fable II ("Knothole Island" and "See the Future") for free. Unfortunately, where I was fooling with some other stuff at the time, I never got around to playing the game again until a few months latter, and to my surprise, it turns out those two extension packs I downloaded weren't being recognized. To make matters worse I was expected to purchase them this time around if I actually wanted to play them!

I checked my hard drive, and yes, there they were, already downloaded and everything. I checked the titles of both of them, and as far as I know, they were the expansion packs I downloaded several months back with my gold account. The only question now is, if they are already downloaded, then why aren't they being recognized? Is there something else I need to do, or is it that they are only available when your a gold member, and when your not, they are unavailable? If anyone has any information they can give me towards the current problem I would appreciate it.

The free one was not the full version. It was some kind of compatability patch so you could play with people that bought it...

Yes but I thought that it could be something else. I may be wrong but I thought that the free download to gold members was a trial version and not a full version.

So if it is the trial versions of those packs your explanation doesn't explain why it isn't recognized on his system agreed?

I asked my question to get more info before continuing.

However if your answer is correct then so be it.
Was there really any need to ask me if I read your post???

Hope this isnt against the rules? Link saying it was basically a compatability update so those who bought it and those that didnt buy it could still co-op together in the reg game:
