xbox uses -r .. shouldn't be a problem with a burner.. any burner..

DVD+/-R 8x
DVD+/-R DL 4x
DVD+/-RW 4x
ram.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD-RAM 5x
CD-R 16x
CD-RW 10x

is what that series of drives will do.. but obviously it doesn't do bitsetting... and my experience is that doesn't matter because neither of my samsung drives will see a +r disk regardless of what I do to it.

I tried making one with a DVD+R DL disk, but all of the tutorials say that the 360 disks must be burnt in DVD-ROM format and not +R DL format. When I put the disk in the tray it just said "open tray." The xbox dvd drive's firmware was changed correctly, and it will still play the original disks.

why are you posting in the wrong place then?

you won't have any option but to buy a normal burner if the one you has doesn't support the function you want.
