Hi Im trying to back up a game for my self. I I have a spare Benq drive around its flashed to 0800. Windows detects the drive easy but when it reads xbox 360 games orignal it wont read to use the xbox back up creator. I put my ear to the drive the disc goes around for about 3 secs thens stops. Whats that mean Any thing I can try?
It defintly has 0800 on it. And I did half start to back up a game yesterday on the driver and it did read it then.
when I put a movie in thats fine.

Is that the one in drive tools? Because thats all liten out So I cant click any buttons.
do you think I should flash back to orginal then flash to 0800 again?

try a fresh flash again,then try seeing if it reads,i know mine has to have the drivers installed to rip the game
also on xbox backup go to drive tools and click unlock drive

still dont work. how about the spare one I have I flash that one to the stock one that was always in the xbox to the same code and try the spare one into my xbox 360 play a game and see if that works?

That how you do it?

k I put the new key in started the xbox wont read anything so. not sure what to do here. There Has to be people that have had this problem before

Sounds like its struggling to read the disc, is the disk dirty/scratched?

Laser may need cleaning/tweaking/replacing.

yep I know everyone giving great help. But Im really anoyyed now. I was sending the firmware back to stock when that happen the xbox for some reason turn it self of while its writing. now Its stuck in vendor mode on the xbox its self and jungleflasher Cant find it. Oh... So anoyyed but thanks for the great help we were getting very close I reckon. I dont think we can fix the benq spare drive any more can we or thats gone? I already bought a connectivity kit on ebay just waiting to come in post but I really wanted to give this a try.

is your version of xbox creator 2.9,,thats the one that will work with the xbox drives
