USB loader issue. Please help

I have followed all the steps in the following guides.

I have a WD 320GB Passport and have added the WBFS file to it. When I connect it and try by slecting the CFG USB Loader channel the screen goes black and the wii resets back to the system menu and does not load the game. What have I done wrong? Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Hooked it to my PC and formatted it to FAT 32 and then connected it to the wii and no such luck. Then connected it back to my pc and would not recognize it anymore. Was unable to reformat it and seems to now be defective. Will have to purchase another and try again. Any suggestions?

Must the WBFS file be on the root of the drive and not in a directory in order to work? Must I also remove the SD card from the Wii prior to connecting the HD to the wii.

You place the WBFS games in the WBFS folder.

Ok, I put the file in the right place. Unless the ISO I downloaded was bad. Could it be that I have the SD in the card slot?

If you follow the CFG USB loader guide in my thread then everything should work (thats if you have a compatible USB Device).

You do not need the SD card in either.

Also make sure you have the USB Device connected to the proper USB Slot.
