Ok, so now i have a question. I just went out and got Mass Effect 2 and it is wave 6 as we know. My benq plays the original fine with ixtreme 1.61 but I want a backup of it. I use a sammy with 1.61 to make backups, and I have made a backup of both discs (its a 2 disc game!) using schtrom v 4.1. I run the steal check on it and it says it passed overall, but obviously we have the video pfi math failing saying the wave type is unknown. If I run the ISO thru abgx it tries to patch it to 4th wave and I dont want that. So my question is, since i made a backup of the original this way, can I just burn it straight and not have to worry about running it thru abgx or anything? I have always run my backups thru abgx anyways just to be sure and now I cant because it doesnt support wave 5 or 6 yet. But it should be good to go right? I use live and I am ATTEMPTING not to get banned! lol. Thanks for the help

So, let me get this straight.....If I have a retail copy of this game and I back it up with my flashed xbox360 drive using either XBC or Schtrom360 xtract then it should already be stealth. Am I right about this. I used the hotswap method before but recently purchased a xbox drive to do my ripping with. Thanks in advance for any help anybody is willing to give.
Im as new as it gets to all this, so please bear with me.

Yes, if you rip with a 360 drive that has iX 1.6 0800 firmware flashed to it, you rip all the proper stealth data.

First of all thanks for the super quick answer...two minutes after my post wow! Second yeah I used the iX16 0800 on xbins that said something along the lines of "not for in a console. Designed to be for a dedicated ripping drive." Well I'm glad I decided to get the xbox drive for ripping. Keeps me from having to wait on abgx to update for the new waves. No more wasting time with hotswap..Thanks again!

Ok another question, does the drive have to have the 0800 flashed to it or can I use a drive with the standard ix 1.61 and use the tray half open trick? Thanks in advance.

That's something I'd also like to know. My methodology for backing up my retail discs are: XBC 2.9, turn on splitvid, change the drive type to Benq (VA6038), leave it as default 12x speed. The drive is a BenQ with iXtreme 1.61, and is started up with the tray in the half open position from the PC powered on, using a molex adapter, NOT plugged into a taken apart 360.
The modified version of abgx360 that supposedly reads wave 5 and 6 correctly is saying that everything is peachy, and the standard Abgx360 comes up with everything as green except for the video partition, which is Yellow (Wave not seen before). Is this safe to use?
I always change the settings in abgx360 to never patch anything, either, because I'm still cautious of a source that I can't control.
