liteon drives.. are they more of a problem to flash?

i have been doing some searchin... and i think both my both my 360 are liteon drives because when i take the faceplate off i see the yellow wire... but i still a little unsure why people don't want these drives?? i am hopin to get both my xboxes flashed... is this now going to be a problem??

not sure if i have this right... BUT.. does it mean that if it can get flashed then i will have to use a boot disc before each backup is put in?? coz don't think my 4 year old will get that right lol.. is there an easier way without a boot disc?

from now on you will prob. never be able to go on xbox live with a flashed xbox. You just should use 2 xboxs, one for burned offline games and one that you only play legit legal games on. As for lite-ons being harder to flash that is not true. it is the easiest in my eyes. And now we can flash all models

ix1.61 as well as non stealth firmwares are out for all Lite-on drives. So there's no need to have to use boot disc anymore. The 7**** series require a probe/spear along with a connectivity kit to get the key. The V1 8**** doesn't require extra hardware. The V2 8**** and 9**** series require soldering.

No if you get it flashed to 1.61 there is no need for the boot disc, 4 thats a bit young for an xbox 360 lol

hi and thanks for the info.. but how do i know what version i have 7**** 8**** 9**** and what is also the v1 8**** i'm guessing these are different 360s
