Hi.

I have recently updated the firmware on my Wii to 4.2e. I haven't been on it for about 6 months as i'd just moved house and was unaware or the replications. it seems that this update has blocked out my original Wiikey chip and now i can no longer play copied games. The wii i had was 1 of the 1st models out and had a very early model wiikey in it. the firmware on that had been updated to 1.9g for the mario galaxy game.
I haven't tried softmodding before and although i've read a few guides online, i'm unsure about doing that just yet. is there any way i can get the wiikey up and running again or has it died? The Wii is still in working order and plays originals. Thanks for any replys in advance.

I have tried that my friend but it won't read any disc apart from original games now?
