I apologize if this is a redundant thread, but I can't find my answer anywhere so I'm starting a new thread.

I've been researching modding my 360 for a long time now. But this is my first one, so I'm a noob. I have my stock hitachi v47 drive hooked up to my pc though a connectivity kit. The drive is registered in windows. I'm trying to flash the dive with iXtreme 1.51 through Jungleflasher. I am following the Jungleflasher.pdf textbook thing. I select all the options in Jungleflasher for my drive according to the pdf. Click "Flash iXtreme" and a message appears:

"Auto-Load iXtreme"

"Can't open file C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\Rar$EX00.750\JungleFlasher v0.1.69 Beta (75)\firmware\ix151-47.bin

Any help would be very much appreciated.

You don't need JF to autoload IX for you as long as you download it and know what folder it's in open it IX47 as target and your original bin as source and spoof to copy the key to IX then go back to the Hitachi tab on JF and select write IX. I'm assuming you already have your key is that correct ?

Did you place the firmware .bin files in the fw folder in your jungle flasher directory? If not then unrar the files there.

Anytime you update your jungle flasher you need to put the fw files there so that they can be recognized.

Otherwise you would have to have them in another location and manually load it which I personally don't like with Hitachi drives.

SYMBYAX you kind of lost me. Sorry. :/
Do I need to spoof hitachi drives?

Okay, so I just take the firmware .bin file and drop it in the JF firmware folder?

It worked!!! Thanks!

Now I'm stuck an another part though. jungleflasher.pdf says I need to flash key sector (90004000). I'm trying to follow the directions, but under the "flashing options" there isn't a "flash key sector" option. the .pdf says it should be the option 2nd from the top, right after "dump drive". Instead I have a "manual spoof" option. Any ideas as to what I'm incorrectly?

Your key is already on the drive so you don't need to mess with that.
All you have to do is hit the flash ixtreme/hacked fw button and you should be good.

If your drive was already modded then you would need to restore to stock first then flash.

It says "Flash Complete!" At the bottom of th JF log. So does that mean I'm done? I can eject the drive, put my 360 back together, and play burned games?

Yeah but I would hook up the dvd drive and see if a backup game will actually play before closing it up.

Older Hitachi drives are a pain in the arse because they don't read burned media very well without adjusting the pot.

If it reads a retail game but gives you the "open tray" when you try a burned game then you will know if needs to be tweaked.

What is the pot? I've never heard that term before.
