ive been told to just buy an xbox from ebay and fix it myself. i learned from the ps2 and ebay. Last year i bought my first game system ever, a ps2 from ebay for 40.00 dollars with a memory card and controller. basicially the sellor sold me a broken system in a cardboard box with a generic corupted memory card. i contacted the sellor, no response, filed a complaint with ebay. i gave my side of the story to ebay and sellor claims he sold me a good ps2. bottom line who does ebay believe, they dont know, so they dropped the entire matter and basically said to me in an email, buyer beware. Bottom line, it would have been cheaper for me to buy a brand new one from Kmart for 99 dollars with a warranty in the first place, which is what i finally did.
buying an xbox from ebay is going to be someone's most likely broken unit that they cant return, or sell in person because no one would buy it, so they dump them on ebay. xbox have a few problems so i think 30 dollars for a 2 year replacement warranty is a great deal. i will just wait to buy a 360 for 199.00 and another 30 for the warranty and not try to fix broken units, i dont know how to fix them anyway.
