Well guess I'm just out of luck, wonder if redownloading windows media player would do any good, but recon I'm just going to have to go with out it.

If you want quick info about your video/audio file, use a better player.VLC provides a basic info; KMPlayer is excellent(and plays about anything, lots of features). Here's what KMP provides with a right click of the mouse:
