hi there i have my wii fitted with a modchip and it worked fine playing the 10 back ups that my son has, but then he connected the wii to the internet and now only the 3 games that are wifi compatable play. when he puts the games in that are not wifi it just says disc unreadable, so i tried knocking the internet24(i think thats what it was called) off in the wii setting, but they still wont play has anyone heard of this as i have 7 games that are now no good.

Did he update to 4.2 firmware?

Are the games that are not working out of region games?

4.2 firmware will block Imports from playing with Modchips.

Check to see what firmware you have in Wii settings (top right corner).

Connecting to the Internet wouldn't effect games from playing. More then likely the system was updated to 4.2 firmware. If it says 4.2 firmware you will need to use Gecko OS to boot your Import games.

HERE is a guide on how to install Homebrew Channel + Gecko OS on a 4.2 firmware system.
