I have full faith in C4EVA & Team Jungle and I am sure there will not be a charge for LT. If there is a charge, I will happliy pay it! (though I dont know how they will stop people dumping and uploading for free). I love their work, they have supplied all thier hard work for free in the past and proved they know their sh*t.

Is it really logical to try to charge pirates for something they (need/would help) to pirate? call me crazy but it doesnt seem like the best idea. Just sound like a sales pitch now saying all fw's are f*&kd EXCEPT LT and i believe most optical media is made similarly so I dont buy the media issues. I have verbatim's written properly so give the the god damn fw! wait no, we want to make a buck off everyone whos scared enough to pay for it. It's terrible.
but you have to see both sides... if you did work that 100s of thousands of people have benefit from, wouldn't you want a little monetary compensation for it?
of course... like you said, the community he's dealing with will make it hard to implement a pay for product kind of service.
either way... everybody needs to just sit back and enjoy the ride. there is firmware already to play backups with and that goes a long long way. i only play a couple games online anyway and i have no problem paying for those becuase of the amount of time i put into them.

I think the root of the reason everyone gets pissed at TJ/c4eva is because of the uncertainty they create. Why can they not simply come out and say whether LT will be for charge or free? They keep everyone in the dark about everything when information they can give would help curb the current animosity toward them. It makes no sense to me that they would prefer that all the modding communities sit around speculating and making rumors about anything under the sun

yea i agree..i mean when ppl were trying to figure out the reason why ppl were being banned they sorta had a ''we know but we wont tell you'' attitude like..''stop the stupid speculation'' comments similar to that..why not just inform the community

What has C4eva to lose by charging for LT? Its not like he is making any gain from putting time and effort into making firmware. Obviously, I don't want to pay for it but if it doesn't cost much, it might be worth my while.

yea i agree..i mean when ppl were trying to figure out the reason why ppl were being banned they sorta had a ''we know but we wont tell you'' attitude like..''stop the stupid speculation'' comments similar to that..why not just inform the community
I don't think they should give every little detail to us. If they are developing a product and found an exploit in the 360, why would they want Microsoft to know prematurely? Maybe they knew how M$ banned people, but just didn't know how to get around it??

i dont see why everyone is gettin so bent outta shape, if you wanna go on live just get an unmodded box for the few games that you will actually play online, for me thats about 3, so if i kept my modded box for offline id still be well up the initial investment

I hope i'm wrong, but i don't think LT is gonna be the end of bans. I've heard "the no more bans!" line too many times over the past few years to believe anything without seeing it (http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/9920.cfm). any time something is modified m$ will eventually find a way to detect it. you want a modded console? then keep it offline. only true way to not have it banned. I do however thank and support C4E and TJ for all the work they've done. and if LT proves to be "undetectable" then i would gladly donate to use it. they have in the past 4 years saved me hundreds.

I think they would do best to devise a donation system. Many people would gladly show their appreciation.
Even if LT isn't perfect, at least the cat and mouse game continues a little longer. Live will alwyas be a risk and if you just have to play something it would be worth having a system for those "just gotta play it" games. Heck a new Xbox is still cheaper than a high end graphics card.
I would be great if they gave us just a few more nuggets of information though!

i still dont see how they could implement this cause really when someones gonna flash their drive with this fw cant they just spoof keys again? and in theory one copy purchased can be put up for download and everyone can spoof their keys to it? im kinda new to flashing dont judge me if im horribly wrong lol
so basically i agree with it being b.s.

LT IS OUT....
It was leaked when someone bought it, hacked that, then released it to the public...The demo is the same as the Full LT

So that answered the question to the fact that LT was in fact being sold... kinda messed up. Especially since now all of a sudden Team Jungle updated the twitter saying it will be released shortly. I am just glad we got an update (FINALLY) on LT. Kinda shady to see it being updated after a leak though...
I have to give credit to Germania for his crack...wow. He did what many couldn't. Still got a lot of love and respect for C4E and Team Jungle.

"iXtreme LT will release shortly as promised for free. Unofficial files are incomplete and unsafe. Protection was to prevent unofficial use!"
Maybe you should start giving a few posts of appreciation - then maybe you will see Benq, Samsung & Hitachi versions too - because they won't come from anyone else we can assure you of that much.

So it took them 3 months to tell us it will be free? Maybe they relized they have no chance at charging for it and are finally releasing it.
Either way im skeptical until i see an official release... Now we wait.
