article published on 13 January, 2010

How do they figure out phone unit sales based on sales of apps, exactly?

Anyway, BIG NELSON LAUGH, if true.

If existing customer's of TMO could buy the phone with out having to be up for an upgrade (like me , who has to wait till april) or if the unsubsidized prices wasn't as high i'm sure the phone would of sold more.

I'm sure it will sell more when it opens up to other carriers.

I'd rather have a Droid, to be honest. I don't want a visual keyboard.

I thought the same thing, but after using the visual keyboard for a few messages, I can type nearly twice as fast than on a physical keyboard. It's not like the resistive touchscreen days when a visual keyboard was one of the most terrible parts of ones day. :p

I didn't know it was out yet either. But even so...I wouldn't buy ANY phone on T-Mobile. With that said, i know i'm not the only one so that's probably why it's not selling. iPhone users learned and showed the way, that a great phone on a weak network sucks. So I'm sure people are holding off till it's available elsewhere.

And i don't doubt it's a great phone, but other than being jail broken what makes it any better than any other android powered phone?

There's also a LOT of complaints about the DROID physical keyboard. ANY keyboard not a standard-sized computer keyboard is gonna get complaints, though.

If it would have had Apples marketing machine behind it, it would have done much better. Apples people could sell a turd to people who already have too many turds.
