Hi. I have got an 500gb Lacie USB HDD which I've formatted to FAT32 using swissknife.

My question is - will it store files bigger than 4gb (I read somewhere that fat32 won't)? If not - then I'm assumming if I download a hd retal from the PSN store (9gb) it wont' store on the drive?

Is there anyway round this? Do Sony have plans to update firmware so it reads NTFS?

Its a well known fact that FAT32, wont do single files larger than 4GB, so no a 9GB file cant be stored on it and there is no way around it, perhaps get a bigger internal drive for your PS3.

The only solution I found to that "play a HD movie over 4gb on your PS3" problem, was to set up a media server, like TVersity. It works wonders, and you won't have to constantly move your USB HD back and forth between PS3/PC :)
