never mind!! i got it to work you must rename your file to avi , and thats not on the tutorial!
if your on vista its not as easy as xp you have to go into folders options and unclick the section that says hide extensions for known files!

no no, follow the tutorial, then after the mkv turns into a mp4 , then rename to avi , that converter is the best for watching videos on the xbox , i researched up and down very easy to use you dont even have to intall it

weird on 2 videos the xbox like half way couldnt read them, 1080p gamer and 720p taking woodstock why would that be the xbox said it couldnt read supported content

Another solution is using tversity with Fdshow installed. Tversity will convert them on the fly while streaming to .wmv. You have to make sure that your computer is powerful enough to convert though and that you have the right codecs installed.
