HELP ME! Eurovox EX1000 SL no menu?

Hia im really new to this and havent got a clue! Ive plugged it in and got all the channels but there scrambled, ive tried millions of ways to try and get this menu open to enter the codes but im really having no joy am i doing something wrong?? Ive tried

Menu - yellow
Menu - 1520
Menu, Language settings - 1968 then left and again but with 1968 twice! Ive tried 2004 etc etc!

Any options would be great :) x
