Just got a Digivox-t mmds and cant work it, please help

Hi everyone,
I bought a digivox t starter kit with mmds aerial from bubble supplies and cant get it to pick up any channels at all. Im in the Tralee area.
The system information sw - V03-1.1000t and the date on it is the 7 aug 2009. Is this version not the right one, does it need to be up dated or something. I got a cable to link it up to the computer but its not usb cant be used on my laptop, and i dont got PC. my friend has digivox, if i hooked it up to his would it update itself and then work. I dunno im pulling at straws, please help me

jcax youre emu might be switched off heres what you should do go into menu scroll down to system information then press ok then on youre remote key in 1004 then turn key emu on exit exit see if this helps

sorry i picked it up wrong the latest software is digivox_ter_v3330_090806 you will need to load this to receive all channels and no taking it to youre friends house wont update it for you did you receive a power supply as mmds needs to be powered up to work

Does anyone know if/when chorus/NTL are going to switch the MMDS system over to Nagra 3.

jcax, if you cant sort the box pm me , im not far away from you,, as for paul 180 stick to throwing darts , ha ha only messin , i say max end of july everything be on N3,, and thats a quess, if you want a definate answer , ring them and ask,

about 4 weeks time all will be n3 and to the guy who bought the digivox T id send it back if i were u it wil be useless in a few weeks time.

check your antenna power is set to on (thats your aeriel)and of course you will need the latest firmware(you will need a computer capable of putting the firmware in your box').you will need a loader(to put the firmware in to your box)as far as i know the loader is called downloader1o.exe, the last firmware i used was digivox_ter_v3310.bin(but i would think there is a newer version than that)click on the link in my signature area, click on digivoxt and see what firmware is there for it. but it looks as tho mmds wont last much longer(but if you get between 3 and 5 months well your box and aeriel will have paid for it self)so best of luck mate.

i did the whole downloader 10 thing with the proper bin file , have the digibox linked to my laptop via an rs232 cable and usb serial adapter, i downloaded downloader 10 and the download to flash the box, selected com 3 and the file and pressed download, the progress bar comes up but does not fill up and after a while it just says update fail to flash, someone else on a different site had the exact same problem.

As stated earlier the last open system Chorus MMDS is now closing. New cards are in the post. So sorry to say your experiment will not yield return. Time to look for an laternative or buy a subscription

i would not advice anyone to buy anymore boxes guys, as yes letter have all been sent to mmds customers, about the card swap, we are prob talking 8 or 9 weeks roughly before fully changeover,this is the plan .. could be few weeks more than that, but its coming soon..take care guys enjoy come on the spurs tonight more misery on RAFA

jacx if you got the new aerial with rings i had no joy either and the nag 3 thing dont worry if it happens because we all need new boxes as rte(still analog) is still analog and we cant have the same channels as cable and the earliest change over is 2012 and i have a buddy in ch@@@s and thats no shit quote me if u want next yr.........

Got text frm chorus yesterday to say there was a delay with the an post system but the letters will be out this week. will fill u in on what they say when it arrives

Thats not going to effect them from changing the system over because RTE is on analogue as that channel is FTA and wont be effected by the new cards anyway or N3

So 3 weeks until we receive new cards and then maybe another couple of weeks before channels start going dark. It'll be sadly missed.

if you are getting the cards, the stream must be set up already, so once ya get the cards in your area, your service will start dropping onto N3, so could be sooner, not like cable, MMDS is a smaller catchment area, so it may be a matter of less than 2 weeks from the card issue date, but like anything thats not an exact science

I'm not 100% convinced its all over soon... RTE is still analogue but it has plans to go digital in next couple of years, So...
Got the texts, got the letter, wont be changing the card !!
So many fellow Tralee heads on ere lol !!!

cheers guys for the quick responses i suppose all good things come to an end keep d faith,if and when the changeover happens who would you recommend we give our hard earned cash to sky or ch--us.
