My father-in-law has "the box" and phoned me up to sort out some issues he had with it. I told him to do a factory reset with password 0000.

He said it would only let him put 3 of the 0's in then it would just clear them and ask him for the password again.

I couldn't understand why this was but now when he turn the box on he just gets a blue screen with password on. He cant press menu or chanell up or anything, all its doing is asking for a password.

As he said he aint changed it i thought it would be 0000 but it is not tsking that password. Any ideas what could be the problem?

Tell him to input 1668 via keypad.
